It’s official–Design for America has successfully launched at each one of our DFA studios throughout the country! One by one, each DFA studio has galvanized amazing energy from their communities to tackle local and social issues. Here at DFA’s HQ, it’s been astounding to see the energy from each one of our teams with each excited email update coming in. With 30-110 students showing up to each one of the kick-offs, we can’t wait to see what the studios do with so much energy!

As a sample of the types of email updates we get, here’s a quick recap from our team at Barnard-Columbia:
Two weeks and two days ago, we sat together in a dorm lounge with no projects chosen and lots of energy.
Tonight, only 15 days after our Brainstorm #1, we saw the start of a service-revolution on campus!
We got over 100 students to come together to start RE-IMAGINING CIVIC ENGAGEMENT on our campus (about 110 to be more exact)!

Wow. How snazzy!
Thank you to everyone who baked, poster-made, brought friends, sent emails, set-up, took photos, cleaned-up, and danced.”
