We are excited to announce our partnership with the James Dyson Foundation for the second year in a row!

About the James Dyson Foundation (JDF)
JDF inspires the next generation of designers and engineers. JDF and DFA both inspire young people to try new things, learn through building, and solve real problems.

The James Dyson Award
The James Dyson Award is an international design award that celebrates, encourages, and inspires the next generation of design engineers. The Award is open to current engineering or design students and recent graduates who have studied within the last 4 years. The brief is “design something that solves a problem.” Solutions should have a significant and practical purpose, are commercially viable, and are designed with sustainability in mind!

With 200 DFA project teams around the country using the design innovation process, we are excited to see teams share their work with the James Dyson Foundation and the broader design community!

James Dyson DFA Design Leaders
Thanks to JDF, we are pleased to offer DFA students the opportunity to become James Dyson DFA Design Leaders.

Dyson DFA Leaders are top DFAers who spread design innovation and a passion for rapid prototyping through their DFA studios and their campus community. Dyson DFA Leaders will receive HCD and leadership training at DFA National Leadership Studio and share those skills throughout the year in addition to serving as liaisons to the James Dyson Award and James Dyson Foundation on their campuses. For many driven DFA students, this is a natural addition to their efforts to lead innovative initiatives on their campus!
