Barnard | Columbia
The Barnard | Columbia DFA studio came into existence based on a spontaneous and remarkable outpouring of student interest and passion. We have students on board with a range of academic interests and extracurricular involvements – including class presidents, environmental activists, avid musicians, and student journalists. But the Columbia/Barnard team is united in our belief that there is a need for DFA at our university.
We envision DFA as the opportunity to build an organization that can successfully harness collaborative student innovation on our campus, translating learning into tangible engagement and problem solving. We want to participate in and add our opinions to the DFA movement, which we feel has the potential to redefine college activism. We look forward to working with students across the nation to pursue the DFA vision of tackling America’s most daunting issues using the energy and enthusiasm of college students at the local level. All in all, it’s shaping up to be a great DFA community!
